Technical Sales Manager

As a Technical Sales Manager, you will play a vital role in promoting and expanding our software solutions, sensor platforms, and IoT systems in the water sector. You will identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and provide technically sound solutions tailored to customer needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new prospects, clients, and opportunities in the water sector (utilities, EPCs, OEMs, consultants, industries).
  • Achieve annual and quarterly sales targets for water treatment systems, instrumentation, SCADA, pumps, filtration, and chemicals.
  • Prepare tailored technical proposals and participate in bidding/tendering processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, consultants, distributors, and project developers.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical trainings.
  • Monitor market and competitor trends; gather customer feedback for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations; manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to after-sales.
  • Provide technical support in pre-sales and post-sales stages.

Key Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar); Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience in the Indian water/wastewater industry.
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, products, or automation systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to build client relationships and achieve sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across assigned territories.
  • Self-driven, analytical, and able to work independently or in teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling to municipal and industrial water utilities.
  • Familiarity with solution selling, project sales, or public tenders.
  • Established connections with consultants, EPCs, and channel partners.
