Water Quality & Analysis
NivuParQ 850
Part No. NP8-5
Continuous measurement of particle concentration (TSS equivalent) with new ultrasonic measurement method using multi-frequency echo
Particle Concentration Measurement
measure. continuously. easily. maintenance-free.
The determination of solids concentrations with the parameter TSS (total suspended solids) is becoming increasingly important due to legal requirements (e.g. European Water Framework Directive, DWA A-102). In order to ensure good water quality, the requirements for rainwater treatment plants and discharges into water bodies are becoming ever more stringent.
The NivuParQ 850 measurement system makes it easy to take continuous particle concentration measurements in rainwater, surface water or hydroelectric applications. The low-maintenance system can be used in part filled and full channels, canals and pipes of various geometries and dimensions. The measurement technology used is based on ultrasonic backscattering/attenuation and uses complex algorithms to determine both the particle concentration and the particle size distribution in the water. In combination with a flow measurement, the total dirt load can be determined.
